Sunshine on a Stormy Day

If you were in Miami just about an hour ago you felt that storm. Fighting the flooded streets to get home, I had to shower just to get the cold sting of my drenched clothes off me. So, when I popped into WordPress World and found a Sunshine Award nomination, I took it.

The Sunshine Award recognizes bloggers whose writings “light up the dark corners of our minds.” The rules are simple: (1) Thank the person who gave you the award in your blog post. (2) Do the Q&A below. (3) Pass on the award to 10 – 12 deserving and inspiring bloggers, inform them and link to their blogs.

1. Thank you to Kate for taking the time to consider me for Sunshine–it literally made my day.

2. The Questions:

Favorite colour? Purple on average and green otherwise.

Favorite animal? Dogs have always been my favorite but I have a strange relationship with cats as if I am one.

Favorite number? 13 and six because they follow me wherever I go.

Favorite nonalcoholic drink? I can’t live without my Cappuccino.

Favorite alcoholic drink? A mellow Merlot keeps me happy.

Facebook or Twitter? FB because I just can’t twitter.

My Passions? Writing, teaching, and my kids.

3. Here are my recs for the Sunshine Award. These are blogs I love to read, and I look forward to getting their notifications on my reader!

I know I’ve left out about 50 others who I love to read, and I’m sure there are tons I don’t even know about. My disclaimer is that I’ve survived the first two weeks of middle school and I only drank two glasses of wine.

  3. Congrats. I was in FLA last week and got hit with a huge downpour. i was inside the car on 95 and feared we’d crash. Slowed down to 15 mph. It was over in 3 minutes. But I didn’t win any prizes. Glad for you.

      1. Thank you. I don’t accept awards – unless it’s cash – because then I have to answer all those questions and I feel embarrassed, but thank you. More sunshine to you in the Sunshine state.
